The practice divides into three kinds of work. The standard in each is the same: plain language, named actions, and advice we would take ourselves.
For organizations at a decision point. We map the terrain, name the constraints honestly, and say what we would do — in writing, without hedging. Sometimes the deliverable is a memorandum. Sometimes it is a single recommendation.
Growth as a discipline, not a department. Markets, partnerships, positioning, and the patient work of becoming the obvious choice for the clients worth having.
Government is a customer, a regulator, a counterparty, and occasionally an obstacle. We help clients understand which one they are facing — and what to do about it.
Some matters conclude in a single memorandum. Others continue quietly for years. The form follows the matter — never the other way around.
How it begins
A letter, a conversation, a question worth answering. There is no intake funnel and no proposal template. Terms are settled plainly, in writing, before the work begins.
How it ends
When the matter is resolved. Engagements are not designed to renew themselves, and we will tell a client the moment we have stopped being useful.
Work that requires the firm to be loud. Work a client could do better themselves. Matters where we would be the available answer rather than the right one. We decline these without ceremony — and where we can, we name who should be asked instead.
